The North American Whitetail Championship is a National Deer Hunting Competition and your chance to prove that you are the best deer hunter in the country.
The 2020 North American Whitetail Championship will begin this fall with qualifying regional competitions. There will be an Archery division and a separate Firearms division. There will be 14 archery qualifying regions and 6 qualifying firearms regions. The hunter who harvests the largest buck in his/her region will win the regional and qualify for the North American Whitetail Championship. Fourteen (14) archery regional winners, six (6) firearms regional winners, 3 members from the winning team, and two (2) drawing winners will win the chance to participate in the Championship even in the land of giants, at Wicked Outfitters in Kansas. The competition is open to everyone that enters in one or more of the qualified regions.
**ALL HUNTS MUST BE CAPTURED ON VIDEO USING TACTACAM SUPPLIED BY NAWTC**
-UPON ENTRY, each hunter will receive a Tactacam 5.0 from the NAWTC that they will use to film their hunt. (Unless they already have a Tactacam camera, and opt. to receive a gift card in place of camera. (**Gift cards will hold a value of $150 and valid through our member exclusive online store coming in June**)
The North American Whitetail Championship kicks off with qualifying regions. The regionals begin on September 1, 2020 and end on January 31, 2021. Each hunter will hunt their respective region under the guideline of the laws of that state. The hunter is required to video his hunt and harvest, with the video equipment provided y the Championship and in accordance with the rules of the Championship. The video has to be submitted through our website within 24 hours of the harvest to qualify as an entry. The hunter who harvests the largest Pope & Young scored buck in his/her region will win the regional and qualify for the North American Whitetail Championship.
Along with the Regional Winners, all hunters entered in the NAWTC will have two additional chances to qualify for the Championship at Wicked Outfitters in Kansas. One hunter will qualify through an Entry Drawing, Every hunter entered into the competition that successfully harvests a deer and registers the entry, in accordance with the rules of the Championship, will be included in a random drawing for a spot in the Championship hunt. One additional hunter will qualify through a Product Drawing. Every hunter entered into the competition who purchases one of our sponsors’ products will be included in a random drawing for a spot at the Championship hunt.
The NAWTC regional winners along with the drawing winners will earn a spot at the Championship to compete for the Title of North American Whitetail Champion and a $50,000 Grand Prize.
The Championship will be a 5 day guided MUZZLELOADER deer hunt, at Wicked Outfitters in Kansas, to be held in the fall of 2021. Each hunter will be provided with all lodging, food, beverages, and a personal guide. Each hunter will randomly draw for 3 wind dependent stand locations which will be their designated hunting areas for the entire 5 days of the Championship. The hunter who harvests the largest Boone & Crockett scored buck at the Championship will be crowned THE BONE COLLECTOR North American WHITETAIL CHAMPION for 2020 and win the Grand Prize of $50,000 and World Champion Bow. The hunter harvesting the 2nd largest Boone & Crockett scored buck at the Championship receives a prize of $20,000 and the 3rd largest Boone & Crockett scored buck at the Championship receives a prize of $5,000.
All qualifiers for the Championship will receive a prize package so there are nothing but winners!

The North American Whitetail Championship Youth Division is a competition exclusively for hunters who are under the age of eighteen (18). The Youth Division is a competition using any archery weapon, Compound Bow, Crossbow or Long Bow and/or any firearm weapon, High Powered Rifle, Shot Gun, Handgun, Muzzleloader. The Hunters in the Youth Division will compete for prizes and scholarships to be applied to any continuing education they choose. The competition is open to everyone under the age of 18, that enters in one or more of the qualified regions.
The North American Whitetail Youth Championship will begin in 2020 with qualifying regional competitions. There will be 39 qualifying regions (each state designated in the Championship is an individual region for the Youth Division) (i.e. Region 1 = Pennsylvania). The regionals will begin on September 1, 2020 and end on January 31, 2021. Each hunter will hunt his/her respective region. The skilled hunter who harvests the largest Pope & Young or Boone and Crockett gross scored buck in his/her Region will be crowned the winner of his/her Region and qualify for the North American Whitetail Youth Championship Scholarship drawing.
The Hunter with the largest overall Pope & Young or Boone & Crockett gross score from all regions (states) shall receive a $2,000 Scholarship. The Hunter winning this Scholarship may not win a second Scholarship through the drawing. The winning hunter will also receive a separate prize along with the scholarship
The Hunter in each region (state) with the highest Pope & Young or Boone & Crockett gross score shall have their name put into a drawing for a $2,000 Scholarship. There are a total of four (4) $2,000 Scholarships that will be awarded through the drawing process. Each drawing winner will also receive a separate prize along with the scholarship.
All Youth Hunters will receive a Tactacam Solo package upon sign-up.
